The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is proud to present its dedicated centre in Panaji, Goa, established with the vision of transforming the state into one of the most entrepreneurship-friendly destinations in India.
Officially inaugurated on 12 March 2024 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, the Goa Centre is a collaborative effort between EDII, EDC Limited, and the Goa CSR Authority. Located at the EDC Complex, our Centre offers innovative programs and initiatives designed to foster skill development, empower MSMEs, and promote sustainable, innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
Individuals, Government, institutions and industry converge to establish a thriving startup and entrepreneurship landscape. Such prolific collaborations have witnessed much-optimized ecosystems abuzz with innovations, novel ideas, funds, research, trainings, infrastructure and networks.
India’s startup environ ascends visibly, with numerous progressive measures in place. Many states of the country have significantly contributed towards making India, the 3rd largest startup ecosystem in the world. Goa is one such pro-active state, and is among the first few states of the country to implement a focussed Startup Policy. The state is highly encouraging and supportive of innovations and technology. It is looking beyond tourism to emerge as an acclaimed entrepreneurship and start up destination. Towards achieving the mandates of its Start up Policy 2017, and impressing upon various segments of the state to adopt entrepreneurship as a career, Goa has instituted hands-on measures to ensure self-reliance and growth. Goa Udyamita Yojana is a mega leap towards the mandate of making Goa, entrepreneurial.
Goa Udyamita Yojana is an ambitious initiative to harness the entrepreneurial potential of the State, and implement outcome based activities that orient various target groups to leverage their inherent strengths to adopt entrepreneurship as a career. Potential and existing entrepreneurs across segments, with emphasis on youths and women, will be trained, mentored and handheld for growth.
Sensitize Youth to build business progressive business.
Create project profiles, knowledge products to help youths with innovative business ideas.
Orient ecosystem players to build a climate for the growth of entrepreneurship.
Create a pool of trained mentors and set up a Business Mentoring and handholding System [BMHS] for existing entrepreneurs.
Design and implement tailormade programmes for youths aspiring for New Venture Creation.
Conduct mega start-ups and innovative entrepreneurs summit.
Develop a Dashboard for data management and tracking individual enterprise performance.
Establish Micro-Incubation Centers across the State to incubate and support tech-based Enterprises.
